For everything there is a season ...

Ecclesiastes 3.1-8. It seems to me that many of us find ourselves in many of these, and sometimes in the contradictory times simultaneously. I'm praying for grace, for peace, a renewed sense that God is bigger than all of our circumstances, and that our vision of Jesus will be so expanded through these times that we can see all of our trials, our sorrows, our joys, and our activities coming together in his purpose, ultimately for his glory.

For those who lost a friend this past weekend: Words can't express the depth of affection I have right now for you. But I do want to mourn with those who are mourning. And so I pray that the Spirit be near each of you. He hears; he listens; he waits; he speaks; he consoles; and he doesn't say stupid things like I can when I don't know what else to say.
